Liminal (adj): of, relating to, or being an intermediate state, phase, or condition

Liminal is an online and print literary journal written for teens, by teens. It’s a place for artists ages 13 to 19 to express their unique perspectives of the world.

If your age rhymes with “een” we want to see your work. We publish poetry, fiction, nonfiction, book and music reviews, photography, artwork and short film. Whether you work with words, photos, paint or pixels, we hope you’ll consider submitting to Liminal for publication. Check out our submission guidelines for more information.

We don’t have a set reading period. Our goal is to publish an online issue every three months. Our inaugural issue will debut September 1. Our publication schedule depends, however, on the quantity and quality of submissions. So please, be brave and send us your best!

Twice a year, we will publish the best stories, poetry and artwork from Liminal in a print publication. We also plan to have themed issues and contests in the future. More information on these events will be available after we’ve built some momentum.
